The Columbia Lions look for a big performance in front of the home crowd when the Yale Bulldogs visit.
Aside from Harvard, the Yale Bulldogs are probably the only other squad from the Ivy League that has some notoriety in the realm of college basketball. The Bulldogs have scoring and defensive punch and are hoping to unseat the Cromson as the best in the conference. The Bulldogs own back to back victories versus Brown following a 69-65 win as they erased a six point deficit at the break on the strength of a 44 point run over the final 20 minutes. The Bears were held to under 37% accuracy with Yale connecting at around 43% wich was a few more baskets for the win. Justin Sears shouldered the offense with a contest best 27 points and nine rebounds on 8-14 from the floor while Javier Duren came through with 24 points. Armani Cotton chipped in with eight points but no other player scored more then four points.

The Columbia Lions are the very definition of slowing games to a crawl as they score 64 points and allow just 58 wich is number 20 nationally. The Lions haven't done all that bad in actuallity with some good performances among their 9-7 record although a 57-47 defeat to visiting Cornell wasn't their best effort with the Big Red surging late. The visitors sank shots at around 45% with Columbia held to 33% with a 5-21 mark from beyond the arc being their undoing. The Lions receved 13 points, four yanks and four assists from Isaac Cohen on 6-10 from the field with Maodo Lo next in line with 16 points on 4-16. Kendall Jackson and Kyle Castlin netted six and five points with Castlin posting five pulls while Cory Osetkowski provided some muscle in the paint with eleven rebounds but only three points.

Yale are 7-0-2 ATS in their last 9 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 road games. The Lions are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. loss and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss. Columbia are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Friday games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. Yale has done a lot of winning in this series regardless of the venue so I'll look for that to continue...
