The Hawaii Warriors travel to The Walter Pyramid to tangle with Big West rival the Long Beach State 49ers.
If there is one thing that worries the Hawaii Warriors it's the always present question of whether this team can win consistently on the road. The Warriors won their first true road game Thursday in an 84-73 decision at Cal State Northridge to earn the series sweep. UH established a 16 point lead after 20 minutes and the Matadors couldn't back in to this. CSN only hit shots at 41% which paled next to the Warriors nearly 54% marksmanship which equated to four more field goals. Stefan Jankovic paced a balanced attack with 15 points and seven boards with Aaron Valdes and Roderick Bobbitt netting 12 points each with Bobbitt posting eight assists. Isaac Fleming added nine points while Negus Webster-Chan, Garrett Nevels, Quincy Smith and Stefan Jovanovic each scored eight.

After opening their Big West schedule with an overtime loss at UC Davis, the Long Beach State 49ers have established themselves as one of the top teams in the conference with four consecutive victories. The 49ers knocked off Cal State Fullerton 91-85 in overtime Thursday with a late rally sending this to the extra session. The Titans hit at 45.5% with eleven bombs but also gave the ball away 19 times which was costly with the 49ers connecting at around 49% with a 19-14 advantage at the charity stripe. Mike Caffey saved his team as he exploded for a game high 34 points on 12-22 from the floor in 40 minutes while David Samuels added 22 points and 13 rebounds on 8-13. Travis Hammonds chipped in with ten points and five yanks with the remainder of the team combining for 25 points to help out the big guns.
The Warriors are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 vs. Big West and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games. Hawaii are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The 49ers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games after scoring more than 90 points in their previous game and are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400. LBSU are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following a S.U. win and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. I don't see Hawaii winning back to back road games but the 49ers are not blowing people out so I'll take the points...
