The Save Mart Center and the Fresno State Buldogs host Mountain West rival the San Jose State Spartans.
The San Jose State Spartans are obviously going nowhere this season but if they can pull an upset or two perhaps somebody else will be joining them on the sidelines. The Spartans found no success at New Mexico in Saturday's 67-41 loss. The Lobos were up 16 at the half and didn't let up until the final horn. Offense continued to be a concern with 25% shooting and an 8-32 effort on threes unable to match 46% accuracy of the Lobos which added up to eleven more baskets. Rashad Muhammed led San Jose State with 15 points on 4-10 from the floor followed by a 14 point, ten rebound performance from Jaleel Williams. Brandon Mitchell added six points and five yanks but the remainder of the team managed just six points and that couldn't match the Lobos.

The Fresno State Bulldogs average 65 points scored and 65 points allowed which are tough numbers to make work in any conference. The Bulldogs are looking to get some more scoring and make a run at the top four and that remains to be seen if it can come about. It didn't in an 80-57 defeat at Colorado State on Saturday with the Rams taking a 16 point lead at the intermission and never looking back. Scoring was scarce on 32.7% but CSU burned the nets at 48% which didn't seem to be hot shooting but it did add up to 14 more field goals. Marvelle Harris and Cezar Guerrero netted 16 points apiece with Harris snaring five pulls while Emmanuel Owootoah and Julien Lewis combined for eleven points. The problem was finding more then two scoring options which proved difficult against a decent defensive squad.
The Spartans are 16-34-1 ATS in their last 51 games following a SU loss of more than 20 points and 16-42-2 ATS in their last 60 games overall. San Jose State are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 13-39-2 ATS in their last 54 games following a S.U. loss. The Bulldogs are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a SU loss of more than 20 points and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss. Fresno State are 20-8-2 ATS in their last 30 games following a S.U. loss and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. I think if the Spartans are going to cover this would be the game but it's guessing...
