The Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans look to avoid the season sweep at the hands of the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks.
The defensive minded Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks rely heavily on their D and it's been successful with not a lot of help from their scoring. The Warhawks have logged consecutive victories after a 67-61 decision against visiting South Alabama on Saturday. The Warhawks looked like easy winners with a 14 point lead after 20 before a late rally closed the gap. Both teams sank shots in the 41% range with 14 Jaguars turnovers leading to eight more ULM looks and three more baskets. Majok Deng gave the Warhawks 17 points and eight rebounds on 7-12 followed by a 16 point, 13 board effort from Tylor Ongwae. Nick Coppola and Justin Roberson added 15 points and eight points with Roberson posting six assists.

The Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans are only 8-13 with the goal of avoiding the Sun Belt basement. The Trojans have been more competitive then one would think with such a record although Saturday's 76-61 loss to first place Georgia Southern wasn't close at all. UALR trailed by fiveat the break before Eagles pulled away for a comfortable win. Georgia Southern hit at 48% including a 12-28 mark from distance to easily outdistance the Trojans 35.6% accuracy. Josh Hagins was Arkansas-Little Rock's go to scorer with 15 points and seven boards on 5-11 from the field while Mareik Isom added ten points and five yanks on 3-6. James Reid and Roger Woods each netted eight points with Woods posting five boards with eight players scoring overall.
The Warhawks are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. UL Monroe are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 Thursday games and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. win. The Trojans are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss and 20-6-1 ATS in their last 27 games following a ATS loss. UALR are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 Thursday games and 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. I know UL Monroe is on the road and strange things happen to better teams away from home but I'll still take the points...
