The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs can solidify their grip on first in the CUSA with a win at the Alabama-Birmingham Blazers.
The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs have all the ingredients of a first place team with plenty of scoring and defense along with an impressive 17-5 record. The Bulldogs have won three in a row to up their conference mark to 7-1 after routing Marshall 81-57 Saturday in a game that was never close. La Tech removed all doubt with a 14 point lead after 20 minutes with the defense giving up just 32.7% shooting while hitting at 49% themselves which equaled 15 more field goals. Erik McCree led five DD scorers with 14 points and five yanks with Michale Kyser, Raheem Appleby and Kenneth Smith scoring 12 points each and combining for 18 rebounds with Jacobi Boykins chipping in with eleven points.
