The St. Bonaventure Bonnies will have their work cut out for them on Saturday when the Bonnies host the Virginia Commonwealth Rams.

The Virginia Commonwealth Rams, or VCU are an impressive 18-4 overall this season, and in conference the Rams are 8-1, putting them atop the Atlantic 10 rankings. The Rams aren’t quite as strong as the Bonnies on the boards, but the offense for VCU has a top 50 ranking, putting up a solid 73.9 points per game on average this season. The Rams have won five out of their last six heading into this meeting with the Bonnies, with their last win coming against the George Mason Patriots, defeating the Pats 72-60.
The Rams are 9-12 against the spread this season, while the Bonnies have a better record ATS, going 11-6 this season. Also, when coming off of a win, the Bonnies are 7-2 against the spread, while the Rams are just 6-10 against the number off of a win this season.
I have to take the Bonnies in this spot. VCU is tough, but I like the way the Bonnies are playing lately, especially on the boards and that is where I feel the Bonnies have the edge here. I would love to get two full buckets, but getting points at all with the Bonnies is too good to pass up.
