The Gaels are 5-13 ATS in their last 18 games following a S.U. win and just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win. The Stags are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 home games.
These are two teams heading in different directions as Iona has won five straight and sit alone at the top of MAAC standings as Fairfield has lost six straight and sit near the bottom of the MACC standings. Iona loves to keep the game up-tempo and will try to run/shoot teams right out of the arena. Fairfield doesn't have much offensive fire power outside Marcus Gilbert, and realizes on an average defensive to try and keep them in the game. Although Marcus Gilbert should have a good game against a poor Iona defensive, I just can't see how Fairfield scores enough to keep this one within the number. I'm taking Iona to cover this large spread as a road favorite.
