Instate and conferenc rivals the South Florida Bulls and the Central Florida Knights battle Wednesday.
The main goal for the South Florida Bulls is to escape the conference basement in a very strong AAC but because the league has plenty of quality that might be asking for a lot. The Bulls are certainly in need of some momentum but have found none in losing nine straight with both ends if the failing to uphold their end of the bargain. The offense cost USF in a 63-58 defeat at Cincinnati on Saturday with 20 first half points leading to an early eleven point hole. The Bearcats were outshot 45%-36.7% but mustered seven more looks with a few more threes and six more free throws. Corey Allen Jr. led all scorers with 18 points and five yanks with Troy Holston Jr. adding 16 points. Jaleel Cousins followed with seven points and seven boards but nobody scored more then six points.

The Central Florida Knights are hoping to make a hot run to end the season and finish high enough in the conference standings to avoid a tougher match up in the postseason. That might be splitting hairs with the Knights in the middle of a six game slide. Scoring has been an issue in this stretch with that trend continuing in Saturday's 67-49 defeat at East Carolina. UCF fell behind by nine in the first 20 minutes with 22 points on the scoreboard and never made a push. The Knights 40% shooting and 2-16 effort from long range set the tone with the Pirates 46% accuracy accounting for ten more baskets. Staphon Blair led three double digit scorers with 12 points and seven boards while BJ Taylor and Brandon Goodwin tossed in ten points apiece with Goodwin snagging eight rebounds.
The Bulls are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. South Florida are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss and 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Knights are 15-33-3 ATS in their last 51 games following a ATS loss and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. Central Florida are 6-16-1 ATS in their last 23 home games and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games after scoring less than 50 points in their previous game. If you can't wait to bet a game where the teams are a combined 3-17 over the last 20 then this is your game...
