The San Francisco Dons look for a conference win when the Santa Clara Broncs Broncos visit War Memorial Gymnasium.
The Santa Clara Broncos looked as if they were making a run at the top guys in the West Coast a few short weeks ago with four consecutive victories followed by four straight defeats to fall to 5-8 in the conference. Neither end of the floor came through in Saturday's 74-54 loss to visiting Portland where the Pilots jumped to a 16 point lead after 20 minutes and never looked back. The Broncos never got their offense going on 36% accuracy while Portland seldom missed on nearly 62% which was a difference of six field goals. Brandon Clark led the Broncos attack with a game high 18 points followed by a ten point performance by Jared Brownridge with Matt Hubbard, Denzel Johnson and Emmanuel Ndumanya.

The San Francisco Dons are not the same team we have come to know over the past several years and that has them in next last place in the West Coast with a 3-7 record. The past several weeks have been especially difficult with five consecutive defeats where the defense has allowed points in bunches. SF is coming in off of an 81-70 loss to visiting Gonzaga in what was a tie game heading to the locker room. Both teams connected at 50% from the floor with the Zags winning it at the charity stripe where they owned a 23-9 advantage. Mark Tollefson led San Francisco with 18 points on 7-8 marksmanship with Corey Hilliard next in line with 13 points. Kruize Pinkins followed with eleven points while Devin Watson and Tim Derksen combined for 17 points.
The Broncos are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record. Santa Clara are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400 and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games following a double-digit loss at home. The Dons are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a double-digit loss at home and 28-11 ATS in their last 39 Thursday games. San Francisco are 45-21 ATS in their last 66 vs. West Coast and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400. These teams are a combined 1-9 in their last ten so we need to ask ourselves if this is bettable...
