The Weber State Wildcats hope to avenge themselves against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds at the Dee Events Center.
Even though the Southern Utah Thunderbirds look improved their 5-16 record doesn't agree and that's because they are being outscored 75-69. This tean obviously needs points to survive and didn't do quite enough of that in an 84-80 defeat to visiting Northern Colorado Saturday for loss number five in a row. The Bears were a white hot 56% from the floor with SUU connecting at 49% with 18 turnovers to squander opportunities. AJ Hess led five double digit scorers with 18 points and five yanks on 5-10 shooting followed by eleven point performances from Casey Oliverson and James McGee. Juwan Major and Tyler Lawson followed with ten points each while combining for eleven rebounds with ten players scoring overall.

Many experts thought the Weber State Wildcats could challenge for the Big Sky title but that prediction appears to be way off with right in the middleof the conference standings. The Wildcats won't be winning the Big Sky because neither the scoring or defense have been very consistent. The Wildcats enjoyed a rare night when both ends of the floor were strong in a 70-63 victory at Idaho State on Saturday. WSU found themselves up by five at the break and held serve the rest of the way despite the Bengals leading the shooting battle 48%-44%. This game was won at the stripe with the Wildcats holing a 21-13 advantage. Jeremy Senglin exploding for 30 points on 7-8 marksmanship followed by Chris Golden with 14 points apiece with Golden hauling in eleven rebound.
The Thunderbirds are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win. The Wildcats are 6-13 ATS in their last 19 games overall and 11-27-2 ATS in their last 40 games following a ATS win. Weber State are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 home games following three or more consecutive road games and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games following a S.U. win. Not much to go on here as the Thunderbirds can get blown out at any time and the Wildcats are inconsistent so betting either is risky business...
