The Quinnipiac Bobcats look to keep the wins coming in when they take the hardwood at the Fairfield Stags.
The Quinnipiac Bobcats are 5th in the conference and are generally playing well with victories in seven of ten. Of course the Bobcats need to keep winning to crack the top four and they should have momentum after logging a one sided 91-69 decision over visiting Niagara on Sunday. The Bobcats jumped to a 36-19 lead after 20 minutes and never let the Purple Eagles back in it behind white hot 54% marksmanship that included a 14-24 mark on threes while the visitors mustered 39% from the floor. Evan Conti paced four double digit scorers with 21 points, nine rebounds and six assists with Justin Harris adding 15 points and five yanks. James Ford Jr. and Zaid Hearst combined for 21 points and eleven boards while Ayron Hutton and Ousmane Drame tossed in another 17 points.

The Fairfield Stags are staying out of the conference basement but that could change if the team doesn't win a few games. The Stags have been competitive at times but the games are not going in to the win column as witnessed by their current seven game slide that was capped off by a 72-57 loss to visiting Iona on Tuesday. The Gaels jumped to a 16 point lead at intermission behind 53% marksmanship while FF couldn't stay competitive on less then 35% with a 5-31 perfomance from beyond the arc doing them no favors. Mike Kirkland Jr. was the Stags best offensive option with a contest high 23 points and 13 rebounds on 10-17 from the field with Steve Johnson adding ten points and five pulls. Tyler Nelson and Jerome Segura rounded out the top contributors with 17 points and seven assists.
The Bobcats are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games after scoring more than 90 points in their previous game and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games following a S.U. win. Quinnipiac are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400. The Stags are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games following a double-digit loss at home and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. loss. Fairfield are 5-14-1 ATS in their last 20 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss. I would think the Bobcats have a great sense of urgency here and I think a loss here would be disasterous...
