The St Joseph's Hawks look to stay hot with a visit to Rose Hill Gym to tangle with the Fordham Rams.
The St Joseph's Hawks could win out and still not crack the top four in the Atlantic Ten but they could improve their position for the conference playoffs. The Hawks have been working towards that goal with wins in three of four after downing Rhode Island 65-64 on Wednesday night. A strong finish erased a four point Rams lead with an even boxscore throughout as cloose as the final score. Both teams connected in the 41%-42% range with URI sinking a few more baskets while St Joes sank a few more threes and foul shots. DeAnde Bembrey led four double digit scorers with a contest high 19 points and nine rebounds followed by a 13 point, six pull effort by Isaiah Miles. James Demery and Chris Wilson combined for 21 points with the rest of the team scoring 12 points.

The Fordham Rams are in the cellar of the Atlantic Ten with a 1-10 record with a mix of close games and big losses and everything in between. The Rams are coming in off a solid, albeit a losing effort in a 73-71 defeat at Richmond on Wednesday as a 13.5 point road underdog. The Rams shot the ball at 45% and nailed 19-20 free throws but were 4-17 from beyond the arc. The Spiders sank shots at 39% and hit four more threes to squeeze out a win that many expected would be a double digit rout. Eric Paschall carried the Rams offense with a game high 24 points and eight boards with Mandell Thomas next in line with 17 points. Christian Sengfelder added 12 points and and grabbed ten boards followed by a six point, 12 rebound performance from Ryan Rhoomes.
The Hawks are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a losing home record and 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400. St Joes are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Sunday games and 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 vs. Atlantic 10. The Rams are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 and 13-3 ATS in their last 16 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. Fordham are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Atlantic 10. The Hawks are not nearly as good as in previous years and beating the Rams for the second time might be pushing it but their success in this match up is impressive...
