The Delaware Blue Hens look to derail the North Carolina-Wilmington Seahawks when they visit the Bob Carpenter Center.
The North Carolina-Wilmington Seahawks have been something of an afterthought in the Colonial over the years but they are a bonifide contender this season with a game separating them from the conference top spot. The Seahawks need to keep winning and hope somebody knocks off William & Mary and the championship is their's. A lot of ifs but the Seahawks have taken care of business with consecutive victories after downing visiting Northeastern 66-61 on Saturday. The Huskies were held to less then 41% and gave the ball away 15 times to make the Seahawks 49% accuracy a winning effort. Addison Spruill paced the attack with 16 points with Craig Ponder right on his heels with 15 points. Jordan Talley followed with 14 and Freddie Jackson chipped in with ten points.

The Delaware Blue Hens are light years away from their Colonial championship and NCAA Tournament appearance from a season ago as they will finish near the bottom of the standings. The Blue Hens have shown some positive signs but nothing consistent although William & Mary might have a difference of opinion after Saturday's 73-70 home loss to their rivals gave the Hens the season sweep. Delaware shocked the Tribe with a 43-28 lead at the break before a W&M rally ran out of time. UD did their damage on 51% accuracy with the home team finishing 41% with eight more looks keeping things close. The threesome of Cazmon Hayes, Kory Holden and Kyle Anderson netted 15 points apiece while Maurice Jeffers and Marvin King-Davis combined for 19 points.
The Seahawks are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 vs. Colonial Athletic Association. UNCW are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games following three or more consecutive home games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games. The Blue Hens are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games overall. Delaware are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 vs. Colonial Athletic Association and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 Thursday games. One of the best squads as a small road fave versus a struggling Delaware smells like a trap. I'm taking UNCW but as a fan I want the Hens to win...
