The Bob Carpenter Center and the Delaware Blue Hens face off with the Elon Phoenix in CAA action.
The one thing the Elon Phoenix had done well is core the baskeball but that has not been a strength over the past month with few exceptions. The Phoenix have topped 70 points once during a seven game slide and struggled at both ends of the floor of in a 77-63 defeat at Charleston on Wednesday. Elon had trouble finding the shooting touch at 37.5% while the Cougars coldn't miss at over 56% which equated to nine more makes from the floor. Tanner Samson tried to carry the scoring load with 22 points on 7-12 shooting including six bombs followed by a 20 point effort from Elijah Bryant. Kevin Blake and Austin Hamilton combined for 13 pointswith Hamilton posting five helpers while five others scored 14 points.

As a Delaware Blue Hens fan I'll be the first to admit that this is far from being a good team but I am at a loss for words as I've watched them sweep William & Mary while beating North Carolina-Wilmington and Northeastern. The Blue Hens knocked off visiting UNCW 70-59 on Thursday as they came back from a ten point deficit behind a dominating second half. When the dust settled the Seahawks sank shots at less then 35% while Delaware made half their looks which a difference maker with six more buckets. Delaware received a game high 19 points from Cazmon Hayes on 6-9 from the floor with Marvin King-Davis adding 16 points and eight rebounds. Kyle Anderson and Kory Holden netted eleven and nine points wit Anderson snagging five yanks.
The Phoenix are 10-21-1 ATS in their last 32 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400 and 6-20 ATS in their last 26 vs. Colonial Athletic Association. Elon are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Blue Hens are 7-1-1 ATS in their last 9 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400 and 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record. Delaware are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400. My numbers say Delaware wins this but asking them to win back to back games is almost fruitless...
