The Furman Paladins take the floor at Greensboro Coliseum to face the North Carolina-Greensboro Spartans.
The Furman Paladins season could be described as not enough scoring and too many points allowed but their 8-20 record pretty much says the same thing. The Paladins have not been having any luck as of late with six consecutive defeats where the offense came up short in a 62-56 loss to the Citadel on Thursday as a six point home favorite. The Bulldogs connected at 50% while the Paladins struggled to 37.7% which negated 16 more looks at the basket. The winning difference came at the line where the Citadel owned a 16-8 advantage. Stephen Croone poured in a game high 23 points on 9-18 from the floor with Daniel Fowler adding 12 points and seven boards. Devin Sibley and Larry Wideman combined for 17 points with the rest of the team scoring four points.

The North Carolina-Greensboro Spartans have been outscored 72-69 which is always an issue when a team allows more points then they score. The Spartans have been inconsistent at both ends of the floor in conference action and were hit hard in both areas in Thursday's 77-62 loss at Wofford where the acyually led by ten at the intermission before the Terriers went off on a 52-27 second half explosion. Both teams sank shots at around 46% but Wofford owned the charity stripe where they held a 23-10 edge. RJ White paced three double digit scorers with 16 points on 5-10 from the floor followed by a 13 point, five yank performance from Tevon Sadler. Marvin Smith netted 12 points with Diante Baldwin adding eight points and seven rebounds.

Furman are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games following a S.U. loss and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of less than .400. The Spartans are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss and 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games overall.
