The A.L. Palumbo Center and the Duquesne Dukes brace for a visit from the St Louis Billikens on Wednesday.
The Saint Louis Billikens lost a Lion's Share of their production from the past few years and the results can be seen in their 11-16 record. The Billikens have defended well enough at times but the issue is scoring the basketball and winning away from home. SLU is looking to build on their second win in ten outings after knocking off visiting La Salle 68-64 in overtime on Sunday. This wasn't a thing of beauty with both teams combining for 37 turnovers but the Explorers couldn't take advantage of a 47%-42% shooting edge because the Billikens mustered eight more looks and sank four more threes. Davell Roby gave the offense 16 points on 6-12 shooting followed buy a 13 point effort from Achraf Yacoubou. Mike Crawford netted ten points with three others scoring six points apiece.

The Duquesne Dukes have loads of scoring potential but unfortunately so do opponents with the Dukes being outscored 74-71 overall and like I always say it's tough to win when getting outscored. The Dukes were a surprise winner against visiting Dayton on Saturday by an 83-73 count behind a 42-31 second half that hurt the Flyers Atlantic Ten title hopes. The visitors were held to under 40% marksmanship while the Dukes fired away at a 52.5% pace which added up to a decisive six more baskets. Duquesne received 25 points on 8-14 accuracy from Derrick Colter but he turned the ball over a game high six times. Micah Mason was next in line with 17 points eight boards and nine helpers while Dominique McKoy added eleven points, nine rebounds and five assists. LG Gill and Jeremiah Jones netted ten points and five yanks apiece with TySean Powell scored seven points and posted seven pulls.
The Billikens are 7-16 ATS in their last 23 vs. Atlantic 10 and 8-20 ATS in their last 28 games following a S.U. win. St Louis are 9-23-1 ATS in their last 33 games overall and 2-14 ATS in their last 16 games following a ATS win. The Dukes are 7-1-1 ATS in their last 9 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record. Duquesne are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 and 11-24-2 ATS in their last 37 games following a S.U. win. St Louis really struggles away from home and Duquesne plays well at home but something feels wrong with laying points here...
