The Dartmouth Big Green travel to Levien Gymnasium with a sweep of the Columbia Lions on their mind.
The Dartmouth Big Green might be just 3-7 in the Ivy League but they can't be ignored because anything can happen in this conference and it did with one of those wins coming against Harvard. The Big Green have won two of three after downing Penn 67-62 as a ten point home favorite. Dartmouth had a slight 46%-44% shooting edge which made all the difference with eleven more looks at the basket adding up to six field goals. Alex Mitola carried the offense with a game high 18 points on 7-12 from the floor with Tommy Carpenter adding 13 points and five helpers. Gabas Maldunas and Connor Boehm netted 12 and ten points with Maldunas snaring a contest high seven rebounds.

The Columbia Lions are not going to somehow capture the Ivy League crown at 5-5 with four games to play but they are one of three teams in the conference with a winning record. At 13-11 they look like a decent squad for one of the lesser tournaments and every win makes them more attractive. Back to back wins have boosted the Lions to 5th in the league after a huge 56-50 upset of Yale as a 7.5 point road underdog. The Lions sank shots at 39% with the Bulldogs hitting at 36% but the key was seven mor Columbia free throws. Maodo Lee led all scorers with 18 points and six pulls on 6-16 shooting while Cory Osetkowski netted ten points. Kyle Castlin and Steve Frankowsi added nine and six points with the rest of the team scoring 13.
The Big Green are 6-19-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Dartmouth are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games following three or more consecutive home games and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS loss. The Lions are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games following three or more consecutive road games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. Columbia are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Ivy League and 10-25 ATS in their last 35 games following a ATS win. Dartmouth has done well in this match up but I feel a loss here might doom the Lions postseason hopes...
