The Bryant Bulldogs advanced to the NEC semifinals with a 91-85 overtime victory versus Sacred Heard as a five point underdog in the conference quarters. The third seeded Bulldogs have won three in a row after coming back from an eight point first half hole to send this to OT. Sacred Heart held a 45%-41% shooting edge but this one was decided at the charity stripe where they turned 27 fouls in to 24-18 advantage at the stripe to squeeze out the win. Shane McLaughlin added 18 points, five yanks and five helpers while Bosko Kostur and Dan Garvin netted 12 and eleven points with both hauling in nine remains.
The Robert Morris Colonials are surging right now and it couldn’t have come at a better time. The Colonials dominated Wagner 91-68 for victory number four in a row with a spot in the conference semifinals as the prize.
The Colonials raced out to an eleven point margin after 20 minutes and continued the carnage until the final buzzer. RMU fired away at 53.6% including a 12-20 performance from long range and the Seahawks didn’t have the firepower to compete on 41% accuracy. Lucky Jones exploded for 27 points on 8-12 shooting in 24 minutes followed by Marquise Reed with 22 points, five pulls and five helpers. Andre Fredericks added 15npoints, eight boards and seven assists while Stephan Bennett chipped in with eight points.
The Bulldogs are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Colonials are 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win. Robert Morris are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. Similar numbers against similar opponents so I’ll back the points…
