The South Alabama Jaguars and North Carolina State Wolfpack play Saturday at the PNC Arena.
The South Alabama Jaguars look for another victory after beating Auburn Montgomery on Friday. The South Alabama Jaguars are averaging 88 points on 43.1 percent shooting and allowing 68 points on 38.2 percent shooting. Ken Williams is averaging 21 points and three assists while Nick Stover is averaging 17 points and nine rebounds. Tafari Whittingham is the third double-digit scorer and Georgi Boyanov is grabbing 10 rebounds. The South Alabama Jaguars grabbed 51 rebounds and turned the ball over just 11 times in their season opening victory. South Alabama hasn’t had a ton to cheer for lately, but the Jags have to feel decent heading into this matchup. South Alabama has lost six of its last 10 road games.

The North Carolina State Wolfpack look for a bounce back game after losing to William & Mary on Friday. The North Carolina State Wolfpack are averaging 68 points on 38 percent shooting and allowing 85 points on 51.7 percent shooting. Caleb Martin is averaging 21 points and two assists while Abdul-Malik Abu is averaging 17 points and six rebounds. Anthony Barber is dishing six assists and BeeJay Anya is grabbing six rebounds. The North Carolina State Wolfpack didn’t play much defense at all in their season opener and had to play much of the contest without junior Terry Henderson. Still, NC State has more than enough talent to beat lesser talented teams and simply can’t afford to get off to an 0-2 start. Henderson is doubtful with an ankle injury.
The Jaguars are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 Sunday games. The Wolfpack are 11-3-1 ATS in their last 15 games following a S.U. loss and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
Even without Henderson, NC State is head and shoulders the better team in this matchup. The Wolfpack also aren't Auburn Montgomery no matter how well the Jags played Friday. I expect an angry NC State team that comes out ready to play on both sides of the ball. I'll eat the chalk here.
