The Wisconsin Badgers need a win after losing to Western Illinois on Friday. The Wisconsin Badgers are averaging 67 points on 35.5 percent shooting and allowing 69 points on 54 percent shooting. Bronson Koenig is averaging 17 points and four rebounds while Nigel Hayes is averaging 17 points and four assists. Vitto Brown is the third double-digit scorer and Khalil Iverson is grabbing seven rebounds. The Wisconsin Badgers didn’t play a lick of defense in their opening loss, turned the ball over just four times and still managed to blow a seven-point halftime lead. Yes, Wisconsin lost a lot of talent during the offseason, but their first game was still one of the more shocking things to take place during opening day. Wisky better get it together quite quickly.
The Saints are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 non-conference games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Badgers are 22-9-1 ATS in their last 32 non-conference games and 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.
I didn't like what I saw from Wisconsin at all. Like, the Badgers played zero defense throughout that game. Meanwhile, Siena competed with Duke and is a team that's loaded with upper-classmen. While I don't expect the Badgers to blow this game, I do see it being closer than expected.
