The Wyoming Cowboys go on the road to battle the Indiana State Sycamores in Monday action.
The Wyoming Cowboys will have a different look this season and whether that is good or bad remains to be seen. A101-62 victory versus sub division Bristol University told us nothing as this should have been a huge rout. The Cowboys burned the nets at over 55% while holding the Bears to just 34% with a 27-6 edge at the line telling us this was a mismatch. Alexander Aka Gorski led five double digit scorers with 18 points followed by the tandem of Jason McManamen and Morris Marshall adding 14 points apiece. Trey Washington III and Justin James tossed in 13 and eleven points respectively while all eleven players that saw the floor scored.

Perhaps we know a little more about Indiana State after a season opening 72-70 loss to Indiana-Purdue as an eight point favorite and perhaps we need to see more which I think is the way to go. I will say the Sycamores had their chances with eight more looks at the basket although the Jaguars 48%-41% marksmanship was decisive. Devonte Brown poured in a game high 25 points followed by an 19 point, ten rebound effort from Khristian Smith. Brenton Scott contributed 12 points and six boards but the rest of the team contributed just 14 points which cost Indiana State the game.
The over is 6-2 in Wyoming’s last 8 road games and is 19-7-1 in their last 27 overall while the Cowboys are 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games overall. Indiana State are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 Monday games. It’s tough to nail down either team after one game and all we know is what the experts tell us but I don’t have a lot of faith in them either…
