The Oregon Ducks and the Baylor Bears face off on Monday Night at Matthew Knight Arena in college basketball action.
The Oregon Ducks are off to a 1-0 start to the season after pounding Jackson State in their opener. Oregon got off to an early lead over Jackson State and never let up in the blowout win as they tried to work in some of the new talent. Freshman Tyler Dorsey appears to be all that he was billed to be leading Oregon in scoring with 20 points and dishing out five assists in his debut. Dwayne Benjamin scored 16 points off of the bench, Elgin Cook had 11 points, and Dillon Brooks had nine points and six rebounds. The Ducks shot 62.5 percent from the floor and 58.3 percent from beyond the three-point arc in the first half when their primary players were in. This game should serve as a much better barometer of where Oregon is right now as a team.

The Baylor Bears got their season started by blowing out Stephen F. Austin 97-55 in Waco. Baylor shot 56.3 percent from beyond the three-point arc and 64.3 percent from the floor while holding their opponent to 32.7 percent shooting. Rico Gathers picked up where he left off last season by scoring 18 points and grabbing seven rebounds to lead the Bears. Lester Medford scored 13 points, Johnathan Motley scored 12 points, and Al Freeman and King McClure each had 11 points. Baylor is ranked 22nd in the nation but this should be a very tough won to get a win.
Oregon is 6-0 against the spread in their last six home games, 4-1 against the spread against the Big 12, and 7-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record. Baylor is 5-1 against the spread following a win.
This one is listed as a pick and I see it the same way but I will give the nod to the Ducks at home though it is a lean.
