The Oklahoma Sooners will play their first regular season game this Tuesday on the road at Memphis. Oklahoma has been ranked 8th and are anticipating a big season. Two of their top 3 scorers return from last season in Buddy Hield and Isaiah Cousins. Buddy Hield averaged 17.4 points a game and 5.4 rebounds a game. Isaiah Cousins averaged 11.7 points a game 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists. It will be tough to open up the season on the road but Oklahoma will be prepared.
Oklahoma is 2-9 against the spread in their last 11 games overall. The Sooners are 0-4 against the spread in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Memphis is 1-4 against the spread in their last 5 home games. The tigers are 1-5 against the spread in their last 6 games overall.
This will be Oklahoma's first game of the season so we dont know much about them except that they have some of their best players returning. Memphis did not look to good in their opener and shot poorly. I think Oklahoma will be able to shake off their nerves and get the win here. Take Oklahoma on the road to cover.
