The Pennsylvania Quakers are off to a 3-0 start to the season but this is easily their stiffest test thus far. Penn is averaging 71 points and they are shooting 45.3 percent including 28.9 percent from beyond the three-point arc while allowing 63.3 points and their opponents shooting 41.1 percent. Sam Jones leads the Quakers averaging 18 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. Darien Nelson-Henry is averaging 12.7 points and 8.0 rebounds, Mat Howard is averaging 10.3 points and 4.3 rebounds, Antonio Woods is averaging 9.7 points. Penn doesn’t have a ton of depth so they lean heavily on their starting five.
Washington is 2-5 against the spread in their last seven home games, 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 non-conference games, and 1-4 against the spread in their last five home game against a team with a winning road record. Penn is 5-17 against the spread against a team with a winning record and 10-23-1 against the spread following a win.
Washington is a big favorite here but even so they are under rated and they win easily.
