The Wyoming Cowboys will travel to Rimrock Auto Arena to take on the Montana State Bobcats this Sunday afternoon in College Basketball action.

The Wyoming Cowboys improved to 2-1 (0-0 MW) on the season after they were able to defeat the D-II New Mexico Highlands Cowboys 83-67 this past Thursday. The Cowboys were on fire from beyond the arc in the 1st half making 9 of 17 three-pointers which helped Wyoming take a 20 point halftime lead. The Cowboys finished the game shooting 50.8% from the field and 76.5% (13-17) from the FT line. Wyoming was outrebounded by the Bobcats by a 40-27 margin however, forced the Cowboys into committing 18 turnovers. Leading the way for Wyoming was Josh Adams who went 10-16 from the field for 26 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. On the season, the Cowboys have been led by Josh Adams (16.0 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 5.7 apg), Jason McManamen (10.7 ppg, 3.0 rpg), and Trey Washington III (9.7 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.7 apg). Offensively, Wyoming is shooting 43.0% from the field on the season and has an assist/turnover ratio of 2. Defensively, the Cowboys are holding their opponents to 38.4% shooting from the field however, have struggled on the boards as they have a -12 rebound margin.

Montana State vs. Wyoming - 11/22/15 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Montana State Bobcats improved to 2-2 (0-0 Big Sky) on the season after they were able to defeat the San Jose State Spartans 81-69 this past Friday. The Bobcats used an early run in the 2nd half to take a 16 point in which San Jose State couldn’t never fight back from. Montana State shot 46.3% from the field and 42.1% (8-19) from beyond the arc in the victory. The Bobcats held the Spartans to just 26.3% from beyond the arc and outrebounded San Jose State by a 45-25 margin. Leading the way for Montana State was Marcus Colbert who went 8 for 13 from the field for 27 points, 6 assists, and 4 steals. On the season, Montana State has been led by Marcus Colbert (16.3 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.5 apg, 1.8 spg), Tyler Hall (12.3 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 2.0 apg), and Danny Robison (11.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg). Offensively, Montana State is shooting 43.9% from the field on the season while averaging 8.0 three-pointers per game. Defensively, the Bobcats are allowing their opponents to shoot 49.4% from the field and have a -5.3 turnover margin.

The Cowboys are 7-3 in their last 10 vs. Big Sky and 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games overall. The Bobcats are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games however, are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.

Wyoming will be rebuilding this year as they lost 4 of their 5 starters from their 25-10 team that made it to the NCAA tournament last year. Montana State finished just 7-23 last season but should improve on that record this season as they have one of the better guards in the Big Sky in Marcus Colbert. Wyoming is a very young team that has yet to prove they can beat an NCAA team as both their wins have come against non D-I teams and I think Montana State and Marcus Colbert will be able to keep this one close enough to cover with the points. Take Montana State to cover.
