The Georgetown Hoyas look for a big win when the MD-Eastern Shore Hawks come to town.
The MD-Eastern Shore Hawks dropped their first four games of the season by double figures before defeating St Francis (PA) 70-57 on Friday. A 34-22 run over the final 20 minutes won it as the Hawks easily won the shooting battle 54.5%-37.7% which equaled ten more baskets which was decisive. Dominique Elliott led all scorers with 21 points and eight rebounds on 9-12 from the floor with Devin Martin tossing in 18 points on 7-11 accuracy. Joshu’a Warren and Bakari Copeland followed with eight points apiece with Copeland snaring seven boards as UMBC emptied the bench late but generally ran a seven man rotation.

The Georgetown Hoyas are looking to go on a long hot streak after narrow losses to Duke and Maryland before taking out their frustration on Bryant 77-47 in a game that was never competitive. The Hoyas were up 14 at the half and kept their foot on the gas with a 43%-31.7% shooting advantage that totaled seven more field goals while sinking 13 more free throws. LJ peak was the offensive stare with 20 points and five yanks with Isaac Copeland adding 13 points and five helpers. Marcus Derrickson netted 13 points and hauled in 12 rebounds while Bradley Hayes, D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera and Reggie Cameron combining for 28 points.
The over is 6-2 in Georgetown’s last 8 non-conference games and the under is 7-3 in their last 10 Tuesday games. There really isn’t a whole lot to say here except Georgetown is one of the top squads in the Big East and in my view will cover if they choose or get up big and cruise…
