The Texas Christian Horned Frogs don’t have a ton of expectations this season so every win is a good thing regardless of the competition. The Horned Frogs might not have an identity yet but they do own a 3-2 record after knocking off Illinois State 71-60 as a 2.5 point underdog. TCU took a nine point lead after 20 minutes and the Redbirds could get no closer with 36% shooting including 3-18 on threes. The Horned Frogs hit at 51% which was a difference maker with seven more baskets. Malique Trent pumped in a game high 19 points on 7-12 with seven TO followed by Vladimir Brodziansky with 16 points and nine rebounds. Karviar Shepherd scored 15 and Brandon Parrish chipped in with eight points and five pulls.
The under is 38-12-3 in SMU’s last 53 Wednesday games and is 6-2-1 in their last 9 vs. Big 12 while the Mustangs are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 road games. The under is 12-1 in TCU’slast 13 non-conference games and SMU are 3-13 ATS in the last 16 meetings. If SMU is as good as advertised I’ll back them minus the points…
