The Elon Phoenix head to the Sunshine State to battle the Florida International Golden Panthers.
I know most experts have the Elon Phoenix dead last in the Colonial although I have to see more of them before drawing conclusions. The Phoenix improved to 4-3 with a 103-93, overtime victory versus Kennesaw State Monday. The Owls shot the ball better at 47.8%-45% but the Phoenix had eight more threes and sank ten more free throws. Tanner Samson exploded for a game high 31 points and eleven rebounds followed by a 21 point, 13 board effort from Christian Hairston. Danian Swoope netted 13 points with Luke Eddy adding 12 points and a team high five assists.

The Florida International Golden Panthers are hoping to finish in the top half of the CUSA although I have no clue after just seven games where this team stands. The Golden Panthers fell to 4-3 following an 81-75 defeat to visiting Stetson on Monday. A strong second half from the Hatters erased a four point deficit at the half in what was a fairly even boxscore. FIU led the shooting battle 50.7%-48% but Hatters won it at the charity stripe where they held a 16-2 advantage. Adrian Diaz led all scorers with 24 points and nine boards with six blocks with Daviyon Draper adding 15 points and six pulls. Donta McGill scored 12 points while Eric Nottage chipped in with eleven points and grabbed nine rebounds.
ELON are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall and are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 Friday games while the over is 7-3 in their last 10 overall. Nothing jumps out and says either team is a great choice which is always a red flag so I’ll just take the points…
