Akron is the favorite in the MAC heading into this one and for good reason as they have a strong defense, solid low post play, and can hit three-pointer. Marshall has really struggled this season as they’ve lost all four games by at least double-digits while getting dominated on the boards. Akron loves the three-pointer and although that can sometimes really come back to hurt us if their shot is not on, I just don’t see Marshall being able to do enough on the defensive end to keep this one close. I’m taking Akron to cover in this one.
