The Line: Pacific Tigers +1 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The UC Irvine Anteaters pay a visit to WCC member the Pacific Tigers in Friday action.
The UC Irvine Anteaters can score and defend which is why the team is 5-2 but they did neither in a 75-56 loss to Evansville where the Purple Aces went on a 48-25 tear to pull away in the second half. Evansville burned the nets at 53% with UCI never finding the range at just 32% including a 3-15 effort from long range. Jaron Martin paced the Anteaters with 15 points on 4-11 from the floor with Ioannis Dimakopoulos tossing in 12 points. Mamadou Ndiaye and Alex Young each chipped in with nine points but UC Irvine needed more scoring options and far better marksmanship.

The Pacific Tigers haven’t been completely outclassed as their 1-5 record might suggest but they still haven’t been winning which is the bottom line in a very top heavy conference. The Tigers are coming off of a competitive 79-71 loss at Sacramento State as a four point underdog. The Hornets pulled away late from a tie game as they sank half their looks with Pacific connecting at 45.5% and only 6-24 on threes while committing 21 turnovers. TJ Wallace led the Tigers with 19 points and five yanks with DJ Ursery tossing in 13 points. Jacob Lampkin added 12 points and nine rebounds with Tonko Vuko chipping in with ten points.
The under is 44-14-1 in UC Irvine’s last 59 overall and is 28-10 in their last 38 road games while going 19-7 in their last 26 non-conference games. The over is 7-1-1 in Pacific’s last 9 non-conference games and is 8-2-1 in their last 11 Friday games. The under is 9-3 in the last 12 meetings in Pacific. I like what I have seen from UC Irvine more then what I’ve seen from Pacific…
