The Bowling Green Falcons won their 4th straight game and improved to 5-2 (0-0 MAC East) on the season after defeating the UMBC Retrievers, 72-64, this past Wednesday. Bowling Green found themselves down by four at halftime but used a 31-12 run in the 2nd half to get a double-digit lead and secure the win. Bowling Green shot 45.5% from the field and committed 17 turnovers in the victory. The Falcons held the Retrievers to 39.2% shooting from the field and outrebounded UMBC by a 38-28 margin. Leading the way for Bowling Green was Spencer Parker who had 20 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. On the season, the Falcons have been led by Spencer Parker (14.0 ppg, 6.4 rpg), Zack Denny (13.1 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 1.6 spg), and Wesley Alcegaire (10.7 ppg, 3.6 rpg). Defensively, Bowling Green is allowing their opponents to average 69.9 ppg on 39.8% shooting. The Falcons have a rebound margin of 3.6 and average 7.1 spg.

The Bulldogs are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Falcons are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall and just 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games.

Drake has had a nice start to their season and has really been shooting the ball well led by Kyle Abrahamson and Reed Timmer. Bowling Green has a lot of turmoil in the offseason and although they haven’t played much in terms of competition, they have to be happy picking up five wins at this point of the season.  Bowling Green hasn’t been great at home ATS as of late and as Drake seems to be shooting the ball incredibly well at the moment, I’m going to take the Bulldogs and the points in this one.
