The Massachusetts Minutemen look to continue their hot start against the Mississippi Rebels.
The Mississippi Rebels are hoping to make an impact in the early going with not many giving the team much of a shot in the SEC. The Rebels have won back to back contests with consecutive victories after defeating Bradley a 67-54 defeat as they pulled away late to break open a close game. Both teams sank shots at around 41% but 25 forced turnovers and 15 offensive boards leading to 12 more shots and five more baskets. Star Stefan Moody paced Ole Miss with 21 points with Sebastian Saiz adding 18 points and nine rebounds while Sam Finley chipped in with nine points.

The Massachusetts Minutemen are off to a 5-1 start but whether the winning continues remains to be seen. The Minutemen bounced back from their lone loss to Creighton with a lopsided 99-69 rout of Boston U Wednesday that was a 28 point game at the break. The Terriers were held to just 38% shooting and gave the ball away 15 times while UMass fired away at 55% including 13-25 from long range. Donte Clark and Trey Davis pouring in 20 points apiece. Rashaan Holloway and Jabarie Hinds followed with 18 points each with CJ Anderson chipping in with another 12 points.
Mississippi are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 versus the Atlantic 10. The over is 9-2 in Massachusetts last 11 overall and UMass are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall. This looks like a toss up to me and a coin flip at best so it’s risky…
