The Charlotte 49ers travel to South Florida to tangle with the #21 Miami Hurricanes.
The Charlotte 49ers have struggled to score and defend with nearly 87 points allowed explaining their 1-6 record. Things didn’t get any better Tuesday in a 109-74 loss to Davidson. The Wildcats took a 16 point lead with them in to the break and continued to press the issue until the final buzzer. Davidson burned the nets at 58% including a 15-29 effort from beyond the arc and Charlotte simply couldn’t stay alive on their 34% accuracy. The 49ers received 20 points and seven boards from Bernard Allen with Ridell Camidge tossing in 14 points. Curan Scott turned in ten points while Joseph Echebo adding eight points and seven rebounds.

The #21 ranked Miami Hurricanes are trying to let the rest of the ACC know they are not to be overlooked and their 6-1 record backs up that statement. The Hurricanes bounced back from their only loss with a 77-72, overtime win at Nebraska on Tuesday night. Both teams sank shots in the 41%-42% range with the Canes turning the ball over 14 times which led to six more Cornhuskers looks and three more baskets with the Hurricanes 14 more free throws making a difference. Angel Rodriguez led five double digit scores with 15 points while Sheldon McClellan scoring 14 points. Anthony Lawrence Jr. added 13 points and seven rebounds while Kamari Murphy and Ja’Quan Newton netting ten points apiece.
The over is 8-2 in Charlotte’s last 10 Saturday games and is 9-3 in their last 12 road games while going 6-2-1 in their last 9 vs. Atlantic Coast. Miami are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall. Absolutely no chance of an upset here and absolutely no interest in betting such a high spread contest…
