Southern Illinois has been a nice surprise at the beginning of the season as after having multiple players quit the program after last season, Antony Beane and company have been outstanding at the start of this season. North Texas has only been able to pick up wins against non-DI teams and has struggled defensively in their recently losing streak. Although I’m not completely convinced that Southern Illinois is good enough to challenge in the MVC this season, I’m very impressed by how their playing on both ends of the floor and think they can go on the road and cover this spread against North Texas. Take Southern Illinois to cover this spread.
