The San Francisco Dons hope to turn back the Cal State Northridge Matadors on Monday.
The Cal State Northridge Matadors aren’t expected to make much noise in the Big West and in fact have been struggling to get things together. The Matadors have dropped four in a row after a70-55 loss to visiting Pepperdine. The Waves owned a 43%-40% shooting edge but also had ten more looks thanks to 20 CSN turnovers. Points were at a premium with Michael Warren the only player to reach double figures in scoring for the Matadors with a 13 point, eight rebound effort. Tre Hale-Edmerson tossed in nine points and snared five boards while Olalekan Ajayi added eight points and 14 rebounds.

Consistency has hurt the 4-4 San Francisco Dons who have been all over the map with their scoring and defense which is why many don’t believe the future holds a lot of wins. Neither end of the floor held up their end of the bargain in an 82-50 defeat at Montana for consecutive defeats. A 54-26 Grizzlies run in the second half behind 54% from the floor and 14 more shots with SF giving the ball away 17 times. The Dons never found the shooting touch especially in the final 20 minutes with 31% accuracy which resulted in 15 more field goals. Devin Watson and Tim Derksen netting 15 and 14 points while Nate Renfro chipped in with ten points.
Cal State Northridge are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 vs. West Coast and the over is 7-3 in their last 10 vs. West Coast. San Francisco are 8-27-1 ATS in their last 36 vs. Big West and the under is 7-3 in their last 10 non-conference games while the over is 7-3 in their last 10 Monday games. I don’t have a huge amount of confidence in either squad to be honest so wager with caution…
