The Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners look for the upset of the Texas Longhorns Tuesday night.
Not much is expected from the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners and I suppose they are meeting expectations at 1-7. Defense has been an issue for the Roadrunners and continued to be in a 90-85 loss to sub division Texas-Permian Basin for loss number three in a row. UTSA won the shooting battle 48%-44% with the decisive edge coming from the perimeter where the Falcons led 12-4 in that category. Ryan Bowie exploded for 27 points and 13 rebounds on 8-17 with AJ Cockrell adding 16 points and seven boards. Gino Littles and JR Harris tossed in ten points apiece while Nick Allen chipped in with eight points.

The Texas Longhorns signed away Shaka Smart fro VCU so it might be awhile before we see positive results which I think will happen eventually. The Longhorns will be looking to get above the .500 mark after an 80-73, overtime win against visiting Texas-Arlington where the team played well defensively with the Mavericks held to just 33% from the field while connecting at 46% with eleven bombs offsetting UTA’s 14 more looks at the basket. Isaiah Taylor pumped in a game high 21 points and logged six helpers followed by Javan Felix with 18 points. Connor Lammert added nine points and five yanks with nine players scoring overall.
The over is 7-2 in UTSA last 9 non-conference games and UTSA are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall while going 9-4 ATS in their last 13 road games. Texas are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and the under is 10-3 in their last 13 overall while going 6-2 in their last 8 home games. The Longhorns are big favorites and while I agree I’m not sure Smart has his team where he wants them yet…
