The Denver Pioneers look for another win when Big Sky foe the Weber State Wildcats visit.
The Weber State Wildcats have played a decent schedule and are 5-4 with back to back defeats so they need a win. The Wildcats come off of an 84-81, overtime loss at Utah Valley on Wednesday. I’m surprised this went to OT with the Wolverines leading the shooting battle 37%-33% and forcing 19 turnovers. WSU stayed competitive thanks to a +14 on the backboards with a few more looks and a few more makes at the stripe. Joel Bolomboy carried the Wildcats offense with a game high 28 points and a monster 20 rebounds followed by a 25 point, ten board effort from Jeremy Senglin. Kyndahl Hill added ten points and eight pulls but the Wildcats needed more help from their secondary players.

The Denver Pioneers are considered to be a team that needs to be watched closely as they run a ‘Princeton’ offense which can be effective on any given night against anybody in the Summit. It proved to be too much for San Diego in a 59-47 decision where DU took a six point lead after 20 minutes and never gave it up. The Toreros were held to just 31.6% from the floor and 4-25 on threes which made the Pioneers 44.7% shooting golden. Nate Engesser scored a team high 12 points on 4-9 from the field with Jake Holtzman tossing in eleven while the duo of Joe Boggs and Christian McVey scored nine points apiece and combined for nine rebounds.
Denver are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 home games and the under is 18-5 in their last 23 overall. I think Weber State needs somebody other then Senglin and Bolomboy to contribute and if they do I like my chances if the Wildcats are trully a challenger in the Big Sky...
