The North Carolina State Wolfpack visit the Sunshine State to battle the South Florida Bulls.
The North Carolina State Wolfpack have looked good and mediocre at times through eight games and need to look good more often. The Wolfpack have won three of four after a 99-86 win versus Bucknell as they took a ten point lead in to the break and held serve the rest of the way. Defense was optional with the Pack holding a 54%-51.6% shooting edge but winning because of 19 more makes at the foul line. Maverick Rowan led five double digit scorers with 27 points on 9-14 with Anthony Barber right on his heels with 24 points on 8-16 shooting. Caleb Martin followed with 21 points while Abdul-Malik Abu and Lennard Freeman combined for 21 points and 20 rebounds.

The South Florida Bulls are pegged for the bottom half of the AAC although it’s too soon to determine if that’s accurate. The Bulls have been struggling for offense which is generally why the team is 2-7 and have lost three of four. USF is coming off of an 81-63 defeat at South Carolina where neither end of the floor had much success where the Gamecocks connected at 47.5% while South Florida hit at 35% and turned the ball over 18 times. The duo of Nehemias Morillo and Jaleel Cousins netted 13 points apiece with Cousins hauling in 13 rebounds. Jahmal McMurray scored eleven and Ruben Guerrero added nine points and ten boards.
The over is 6-2 in the Wolfpack’s last 8 overall and the over is 8-3 in their last 11 non-conference games. South Florida are 17-35-1 ATS in their last 53 home games. North Carolina State doesn’t always look like an ACC squad when facing the lesser lights but they have the talent to win this by double figures…
