The #15 Louisville Cardinals lock horns with the #11 Kentucky Wildcats Saturday afternoon.
The Louisville Cardinals were ranked highly coming in to the season but they have been working on changing that with six consecutive victories to reach #15. The Cardinals found little resistance in a 98-68 pounding of Utah Valley as a 37 point favorite. This was a 28 point contest at the break with the Wolverines held to 40% shooting while countering with 55% accuracy and 13 more free throws. Trey Lewis pumped in a game high 21 and seven boards with Quentin Snider scoring 15. Damion Lee tossed in eleven points while six others added between 6-9 points.

The Kentucky Wildcats seem to be a national title threat every year despite huge turnover from season to season. The Wildcats dropped out of the top ten following a74-67 loss to Ohio State as a 9.5 favorite. The Buckeyes jumped to a 12 point lead heading to the locker room and held UK at bay the rest of the way. Both teams sank shots in the 40%-41% range with the only real difference being the Buckeyes 13-8 advantage at the charity stripe. Jamal Murray was the offensive star of the game with 33 points on 13-23 from the field with Marcus Lee adding 12 points and nine rebounds. Tyler Ulis scored eleven points but the Wildcats needed more scoring balance.
Louisville are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall and the under is 12-5-1 in their last 18 Saturday games while the over is 9-4 in their last 13 road games. Kentucky are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games overall and the under is 38-17-1 in their last 56 home games. The under is 14-4 in the last 18 meetings. Louisville doesn’t usually fare well in this match up but I like the way the Cardinals are playing…
