The Texas-Arlington Mavericks shoot fort their 10th win against the visiting Georgia State Panthers.
The Georgia State Panthers don’t do a lot of scoring but instead lean on a suffocating defense to succeed. The Panthers have done just that in winning four straight capped off by a 64-62 victory versus Middle Tennessee State. The Blue Raiders connected at around 40% and GSU sank half their looks with MTSU staying close with six more shots and six more threes. Kevin Ware led the team with 18 points and six yanks with Markus Crider tossing in 12. Isaiah Williams netted 13 points while Jeremy Hollowell chipped in with ten with all nine members of the rotation scoring.

The Texas-Arlington Mavericks have the ability to score and defend and have done plenty of both in building an impressive 9-2 record. The Mavericks tuned up for conference action with a 98-40 rout of sub division Sul Ross State. The outcome was never in doubt with the Mavericks up 36 at the break. The Lobo were held to 28% from the field while UTA hit at 47% with a +36 edge on the backboards. The end result was 22 more Mavericks with Kaelon Wilson leading the way with 15 points. Kevin Hervey tossed in 14 and Nathan Hawkins tossed in 12 while Mairega Clarke and Jorge Bilbao added ten points apiece with Bilbao grabbing 13 boards.
The over is 8-2 in Georgia State last 10 Wednesday games and the under is 9-3 in their last 12 vs. Sun Belt. I have to say Texas-Arlington looks good but I don’t know how good yet…
