Hofstra shot 41.9% from the field and struggled from behind the arc shooting just 29.6% (8-27). The Pride allowed the Pioneers to shoot 48.3% from the field and 33.3% (6-18) from three-point range. Leading the way for Hofstra was Juan’ya Green who had 22 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. On the season, the Pride have been led by Juan’ya Green (17.0 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 6.2 apg), Ameen Tanksley (16.7 ppg, 5.7 rpg), and Brian Bernardi (15.3 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 1.6 apg, 1.1 spg). The Pride have a rebound margin of 0.3 and a turnover margin of 1.5.
The Blue Hens are 11-2-1 ATS In their last 14 games following a straight up loss and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. CAA opponents. The Pride are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record however, just 4-11 ATS in their last 15 home games.
Delaware is steadily improving under head coach Monte Ross however, the Blue Hens are still a young team that can struggle offensively and commit too many turnovers. Hofstra has gotten off to a bit of a slow start, but they still should be one of the top teams in the CAA and have one of the league’s best players in Juan’ya Green. Delaware has struggled on the road this season as they are just 2-6 with an average loss of 17.5 ppg and I think Juan’ya Green will be able to get the Pride a 15-20 point victory in this one. Take Hofstra to cover.
