The Gaels held the Bobcats to 30.9% shooting from the field and 21.4% (6-28) from three-point range. The Gaels have a rebound margin of -2.6 and a turnover margin of 0.8.
The Purple Eagles are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Gaels are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. MAAC opponents however, just 6-13 ATS in their last 19 games overall.
Niagara will be on the road for the 4th straight game and although the Purple Eagles continue to struggle the score the ball, this could be another long season for Niagara who finished with just 8 wins last year. Iona has started off conference play well and now that they have the best player in the MAAC back in A.J. English, the Gaels will be the clear cut favorite to win the MAAC this season. This is a lot of points to cover, but with A.J. English back, I think Iona wins this one at home by about 20 and covers this spread. Take Iona to cover.
