The Colorado State Rams host the UNLV Rebels in a Mountain West bout Wednesday.
The UNLV Rebels are supposed to be turning things around this season and that seemed to be the case early but the team has stumbled as of late. The Rebels have dropped three of four and four of six overall after a 69-66 loss to conference rival Fresno State. UNLV led by six at the break but the Bulldogs second half 42-33 run gave them a nice road victory. The Bulldogs won the shooting battle 44%-33% with the Rebels staying close with six more threes and nine more free throws. Ben Carter led the attack with 12 points and eight boards with Jerome Seagears, Ike Nwamu and Jalen Poyser scoring eleven points each. Stephen Zimmerman Jr. added ten points and ten rebounds in a balanced but not explosive offensive effort.

The experts say this is supposed to be an ‘off’ season for the Colorado State Rams but the team is keeping their head above water thus far. The Rams saw a shot at a three game winning streak go by the wayside in an 84-80 loss at conference power Boise State as an eleven point underdog. The Rams fell behind by ten at the break before a second half rally ran out of gas. CSU held a 51%-47% shooting edge but gave the ball away 16 times to give the Broncos eleven more looks which was decisive. Antwon Scott paced Colorado State with 24 points and five yanks with Joe De Ciman right on his heels with 22 points and five pulls. Tiel Daniels added 12 points and nine rebounds with Fred Richardson tossing in ten.
The under is 8-0 in UNLV last 8 Wed. games and is 9-3 in their last 12 overall while UNLV are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 games overall. The over is 9-2 in Colorado State last 11 overall and the Rams are 6-14-1 ATS in their last 21 Wednesday games. The favorite is 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings and UNLV are 17-8 ATS in the last 25 meetings. The Rebels seem to do well in this match up and the chalk is perfect…
