Ohio has gotten off to a great start to their season as transfers Jaaron Simmons and Kenny Kaminski have made great contributions in their 1st season with the Bobcats. Northern Illinois has also gotten off to a nice start and really have been outstanding on the defensive end ranking in the top 20 in college basketball in both scoring defense and defensive FG %. Both teams played relatively light out-of-conference schedules however, I do think the Huskies stats are a bit deceiving due to their soft schedule. Ohio has a solid starting five anchored by big man Antonio Campbell and I think they’ll get a nice road victory here to start conference play. I’m taking Ohio to win outright.
