The Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners look to cool off the Alabama-Birmingham Blazers in Thursday action.
The Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners are struggling mostly at the defensive end of the floor where 85 points are allowed which is largely responsible for their 3-12 record. The Roadrunners let one get away from them in a 70-66 loss to visiting North Texas as the Mean Green came back from a 15 point hole at the half. This came down to which team made shots and North Texas had the advantage 47%-36.7% for two more field goals. Ryan Bowie paced the Roadrunners attack with 20 points and seven boards on 7-12 from the field with Gino Littles tossing in ten. JR Harris and Lucas O’Brien combined for 17 points and nine pulls but only Littles and Bowie approached 50% shooting.

The Alabama-Birmingham Blazers are labeled as a team to watch out for because they are talented and a bit under the radar on the national stage. The Blazers might be opening a few eyes after knocking off Middle Tennessee State 78-67 for win number eight in a row. UAB rallied from 12 down at the half behind a 48 point second half run to win as a seven point favorite. The Blue Raiders were limited to 39% from the floor with the Blazers burning the nets at 52%. UAB received 15 points apiece from Robert Brown and Nick Norton on 6-11 shooting. Dirk Williams and William Lee combined for 21 points while Tosin Mehinti chipped in with nine points.
