The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks hope to cool off the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans.
The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks are finding it difficult to string together wins and need to win a few in a row to avoid falling too far back in the league standings. The Warhawks let one get away in a 68-65, overtime loss at Arkansas State with a five point lead at the half didn’t hold up. The defense played well with the Red Wolves held to 38.6% shooting but ULM managed less then 35% which nullified 12 more looks. Majok Deng led all scorers with 26 points and seven boards followed by a 15 point, five yank effort from Jamaal Samuel. Justin Roberson rounded out the top scorers with ten points.

The Arkansas-Little Rocks lost their first game to Texas Tech to close out their non conference schedule but have shown no ill effects of that game as they opened their Sun Belt slate with three straight wins. The Trojans had some trouble with Louisiana-Lafayette in the first half of their match up Thursday before a 43-27 second half run broke open a close contest. UALR only hit shots at 40% but that was plenty good enough with the Ragin’ Cajuns limited to just 32%. Roger Woods gave the Trojans 16 points and six pulls with Marcus Johnson Jr. and Lis Shoshi netting 12 points apiece. Josh Hagins added eleven points, seven rebounds and six helpers in a balanced attack.
ULM are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 road games and the under is 6-2 in ULM last 8 vs. Sun Belt. The under is 10-2 in UALR last 12 overall and UALR are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall while the over is 7-2 in their last 9 home games. The road team is 12-5 ATS in the last 17 meetings and the favorite is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings. I’m not surprised to see UALR as a DD fave but I like the under 122 better…
