The Northeastern Huskies visit Colonial foe the William & Mary Tribe on Saturday.
The Northeastern Huskies are the kind of team that can not be overlooked or they will beat you and those in the CAA know this. The Huskies have won four of five and look for win number 12 after routing Delaware 88-56 as an 11.5 home favorite on Thursday. NE took a 23 point lead in to the break with them as the defense limited the Blue Hens to 35% from the floor while the Huskies countered at 47.7% including a 14-35 performance on threes. Jeremy Miller paced the Northeastern attack with 15 points and eleven rebounds with Quincy Ford adding 13 points and seven boards. Zach Stahl, Caleb Donnelly and Devon Begley each netted nine points as production was easy to find.

The William & Mary Tribe supposedly lost too much talent to be a top contender in the Colonial but they are looking pretty good thus far at 10-4. The Tribe have won five of six after a 72-63 road win at Drexel on Thursday night as a four point favorite. The Tribe were up by 17 entering the locker room and held off a late Dragons charge to improve to 2-1 in the conference. Both teams hit at 53% in a slow, half court game with W&M sinking more threes and holding a six point edge at the line. Terry Tarpay paced William & Mary with a contest high 21 point, six board and six steal effort with Daniel Dixon right on his tail with 19 points. David Cohn and Greg Malinowski combined for 17 points in an attack that had balance and explosiveness.
Northeastern are 9-4 ATS in the last 13 road games and William & Mary are 21-8 ATS in their last 30 Saturday games. This should be a great game to watch but that’s about I’m doing…
