The Samford Bulldogs have a better then average offense which is one reason the team is off to a loft 10-5 record. The Bulldogs have won three of four after exploding for a 95-74 rout of the Citadel behind a 50-24 first half run. The Citadel sank shots at 33% while Samford burned the nets at 58% and hit 25-34 foul shots to win big. Darius Jones-Gibson paced the Samford attack with 26 points, six pulls and nine rebounds with Jamal Shabazz adding eleven points and eight boards. Wyatt Walker, Christen Cunningham and Alex peters scored ten points apiece and combined for 20 rebounds with Marcus Johnson tossing in 13 points as nine players scored altogether.

The Wofford Terriers are expected to challenge for the SoCon title but they have struggled in nom conference play with a 5-9 record as they have been outscored 72-67. The Terriers have won consecutive contests after defeating VMI 65-61 on Tuesday and are hoping this is the start of a prolonged run. Both teams hit shots at around 41% in a boxscore that was even except at the stripe where Wofford turned 15 Keydets personals in to a near perfect 19-21 performance which was the deciding factor. Spencer Collins paced a balanced attack with 13 points with Eric Garcia tossed in eleven. Ryan Sawvell was next in line with ten points while Fletcher Magee and CJ Neumann combined for 17 points.
