The New Mexico Lobos look to stay hot when they go on the road to face the UNLV Rebels.
The New Mexico Lobos have not always played well this season but they have gotten in to a groove with the beginning of conference action. The Lobos have won three straight after a 77-59 rout of visiting Utah State as a 6.5 point favorite. This one was over soon after the opening tip as UNM jumped to a 43-18 lead heading to the locker room. The Aggies were held to 34% from the field with New Mexico connecting on half their looks which was easily enough to put this game in the win column. Tim Williams gave the Lobos a contest high 21 points and eight rebounds on 9-13 with Elijah Brown adding 18 points, six pulls and five assists. Cullen Neal followed with 12 points, five yanks and six helpers as there was no shortage of scoring.

The UNLV Rebels are in search of a momentum shift as the team began season well but have since struggled. The Rebels recent struggles continued in a 59-57 loss at Wyoming Saturday as a five point road fave. The Rebels outshot the Cowboys 40%-34% for three more field goals but gave the ball away 18 times while Wyoming turned 23 personal fouls in to seven more makes at the stripe. Derrick Parks Jr. and Ike Nwamu led a very controlled UNLV attack with ten points apiece with Stephen Zimmerman Jr. adding nine points and 12 rebounds. Patrick McCaw chipped in with eight points with four others contributing between 4-6 points.
New Mexico are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 road games and the over is 15-7-1 in their last 23 Tuesday games. The under is 11-3 in UNLV last 14 overall and is 26-10 in UNLV last 36 Tuesday games. The under is 7-2 in the last 9 meetings in UNLV. I like what I have seen from the Lobos lately so I’ll take the points…
