The Jacksonville State Gamecocks face a tough road assignment in the Eastern Kentucky Colonels.
The Jacksonville State Gamecocks have had more negatives then positives on the season so after consecutive victories that evened their record at 3-3 in the conference the team is hoping momentum is on their side. JSU is coming off of an 82-60 win versus Tennessee-Martin where they jumped to a 14 point lead after 20 minutes and never let up. The Skyhawks were held to 36% shooting while Jacksonville State hit at 51% including 17-36 from beyond the arc. The Gamecocks received a game high 31 points from Erik Durham with JaQuail Townsend dropping 13 while Jared Hamilton and Greg Tucker netted 12 points apiece.

The Eastern Kentucky Colonels need a reversal of fortunes to avoid falling too far off the pace in the Ohio Valley. The Colonels have dropped three of four following a 67-65 defeat at SIU-Edwardsville Saturday night. EKY had a 44%-40% shooting advantage but the Cougars mustered 15 more looks and four more baskets which proved to be the difference. Nick Mayo gave the Colonels with 28 points on 10-14 from the floor with Jarelle Reischel adding 12 points and five pulls. JaVonte Hawkins and Paul Jackson scored ten and eight points respectively but the rest of the team combined for just seven points.
